We find that the 12 Step recovery models and Buddhist philosophies are very complimentary. We are currently using the book "A Burning Desire" by Kevin Griffin as a center of the group. However, we'd like it if anyone came. Nobody needs to be in recovery from drugs or alcohol or even have a copy of the current book in order to attend. Just your presence is requested and we guarantee to pique your interest!

Unfortunately, many activities in Napa do involve either fancy -and expensive- dining and/or alcohol. To be human is to experience suffering. To be in recovery, is to be aware of suffering and willing to let go of that which causes suffering. Each of us has our own life experiences which have brought us to this point, and each of us must walk a distinct path. Buddhism offers a framework to become more aware of the nature of suffering, and how to end suffering. I hope you'll accept my invitation to try these tools yourself, and find ease in your own life.
